That way you are sure to have exactly what you need.

COLOR AND WATER MEDIA WORKSHOP, PEI, 2012
The emphasis of this workshop will be color and watermedia. Stephen Quiller will work with watercolor primarily with some opaque gouache the first three days of the seminar and emphasize color relationships, mixing, and harmony. The last day he will use acrylic in a watermedia approach while still emphasizing color. However painters can work with watercolor and a tube of white gouache and get by for the entire week or use any of the other watermedia for the week. Steve’s two books on color, “Color Choices” and “Painter’s Guide to Color” as well as his new book “Water Media Painting with Stephen Quiller” will be used for reference. Weather permitting we may work outside one day.
Materials- Everyone working in watercolor should have a Standard Quiller Palette or the Quiller Travel Palette.
A set of watercolors corresponding to this list. I will be using the new Stephen Quiller Watercolors. Other brands will be fine if colors correspond to these.
Cadmium yellow light, Permanent orange, Cadmium red-orange, Cadmium red medium, Quinacridone rose, Manganese violet or Magenta, Ultramarine violet (Quiller or M. Graham brand), Ultramarine blue deep, Richeson (phthalo) blue, Richeson Turquoise or phthalo turquoise, Richeson (phthalo) green, permanent green light- also Naples yellow, Cerulean blue, and Cobalt violet, viridian (M. Graham) and a tube of white gouache.
Students working in acrylic should have a similar set of acrylic standard or heavy body colors. The Stephen Quiller signature series can be ordered from the Quiller Gallery.

Richeson Premium Watercolor Paper rough, 300 lb. And 140 rough as well as back sides of paintings for small studies or artists are welcome to use their paper of choice

ACRYLIC WATERMEDIA WORKSHOP – PEI, 2012
The emphasis of this workshop will be color and experimental watermedia in acrylic and gouache or casein. We will begin using acrylic as a water medium and as the week progresses introduce gouache (or casein- either medium will work) as a translucent and opaque overlay. One day will be devoted to acrylic collage. During the four day workshop artists will be in the studio and we will focus on color, color mixing and color relationships in acrylic and gouache (or casein)
Materials- Bring freezer paper or a 16” X 20” double strength glass for a palette
Quiller Acylic- Cadmium yellow light, cadmium orange, pyrrole orange, cadmium red medium, quinacridone red, quinacridone violet, Quiller violet, ultramarine blue deep, phthalo blue (green shade), phthalo turquoise, phthalo green, permanent green light, titanium white plus some metallic and interference colors
A basic set of gouache or casein colors.
Brushes, Richeson 7000 series (Quiller signature) 2”, 1 ½”, 1”, ¾” and #12, 10, 7 rounds
Richeson Premium Watercolor Paper rough, 300 lb. And 140 rough as well as back sides of paintings for small studies , two sheets of Crescent Watercolor Board #114 (20” X 30”) cut in half
Rice paper- bring a variety of natural tones such as Kozo, Kasuiri, and Ogura natural (participants can share)
Bring photos or sketchbooks for reference material,
1 ½” mask tape, paper towels, water container, painting board, atomizer bottle
